O conselho da Électricité du Liban aprovou preliminarmente em 12 de outubro a reativação das usinas de Zouk e Jiyeh, segundo An-Nahar e Al-Modon. Só voltarão a operar as unidades seguras, após inspeções documentadas pelo fabricante MAN.

A decisão preserva os direitos da EDL no litígio com o operador no Conselho de Estado. Fontes ouvidas pelo Al-Modon dizem que o principal obstáculo é judicial, não o combustível, e que não acontecerá em poucos dias.
