قال رئيس الحكومة نواف سلام للوزير الفرنسي جان نويل بارو إن على المجتمع الدولي إبقاء حضور في الجنوب بقرار من مجلس الأمن للمراقبة والتنسيق، بحسب «تايمز أوف إسرائيل» و«تركيا اليوم».

وطلب الرئيس جوزاف عون من فرنسا المساعدة لمنع حصول فراغ أمني وتفادي احتكاك الجيش اللبناني مباشرة بالجيش الإسرائيلي، وفق «عرب نيوز». وتنتهي ولاية «اليونيفيل» في 31 كانون الأول 2026.
